"I was worried about how this would hold up in really heavy downpours for a sustained period of time due to it being a lightweight waterproof running jacket more than hiking style 3 layer waterproof, like you'd get from rab. I fittingly wore it while walking around Rivington pike and spent a about an hour in very heavy rain on the way back to the car. When I took it off I was very surprised that the fleece that I wore underneath was bone dry while the rest of me was soaking. The hood performs well and can be cynched down so it doesn't fly off while running. The pockets are also easy to use. The jacket is a bit short, finishing at the waist, but that's OK for running. The only problem I have with the jacket is that the velcro straps on the sleeves aren't great. If I'm not wearing a bulkier layer underneath the the velcro patches barely connect and they come undone easily. The straps are also slightly further up the sleeve which means your gloves/hands are partially covered but the end of the sleeve rolls up when you put your hand in the pocket, which is slightly annoying. Overall this jacket has great performance and far greater than I was expecting."
